Kardex schliesst Akquisition Stow International ab

31.10.2004, Die an der Zürcher Börse kotierte Kardex AG hat mit Wirkung per Ende September 2003 die restlichen 40% der belgischen Stow International nv übernommen.

Stow International bildet mit ca. CHF 120 Mio. Umsatz den bedeutenden und erfolgreichen Geschäftsbereich «Statische Regallagersysteme» der im Materials Handling tätigen Kardex Remstar International Gruppe. Die Stow Produktionsbetriebe in Belgien sind bekannt für ihre Kostenführerschaft, die hergestellten Lager- und Regalsysteme werden international vertrieben.

Gefertigt wird auch in Shanghai. Stow International ist mit ihren Produkten im rasch wachsenden chinesischen Logistikmarkt gut positioniert.

Die Kardex Remstar Gruppe hat Stow im Geschäftsjahr 2002 zum ersten Mal voll konsolidiert.

Das Kardex-Ergebnis 2003 wird durch den Abschluss der Transaktion nicht beeinflusst. Über den Kaufpreis wurde Stillschweigen vereinbart. Der ehemalige Inhaber und CEO, Philippe
